Azande Rifles...

A small update on the Azande project, three more riflemen.

This completes the semi-uniformed unit.

 

Mongolian Princess

Lead Adventure Forum is running another painting club, "The Back of Beyond", and this is my second figure for the event. The miniature is the "Mongolian Princess" from Copplestone Castings. She is one of my favorite Copplestone figures for some reason. He is the master of dredging up the most obscure subjects.

 
I also made a Mongolian Buddhist stupa after doing some research into the setting. After a few initial failures trying to gently bend and glue craft foam into the correct shape, I sculpted a truncated pyramid out of plasticine and cast it in plaster. Additional features are craft foam and epoxy 'greenstuff'.

A Return to the Near East

A few more figures for the generic North African or Middle Eastern setting.

Peacocks, from Mega Miniatures. The diminutive sultan is an old Games Workshop Sheikh Yadosh figure that I think was from the Dogs of War range. I picked him up back when GW ran their bits service. He was painted several years ago.

A Copplestone Castings mummy.

 

Several middle eastern and Indian civilians. These are mostly Eureka Miniatures. The woman in green with the clay jar is from a Stan Johansen Miniatures vignette.

Empire of Marduk

I've had these painted for several weeks but the Manufacturer, Hydra Miniatures, wasn't ready to announce them. They should be up for sale on their webstore soon. They are Empire of Marduk soldiers from the Retro Raygun range.
